About this policy
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on centrik.co.nz and training.centrik.co.nz, why they are used, and how you can control them. Centrik is operated by Webtools Health Limited, a New Zealand company based in Christchurch.
It covers these websites only. It does not cover the Centrik patient apps or online portal, which are described in the Centrik Platform Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Some are set by us, and some are set by other companies whose services we use, such as our analytics and support tools. Related technologies including local storage and tracking pixels work in a similar way and are covered by this policy.
Your choices
When you first visit either site you are asked whether to accept non-essential cookies. Accept and Decline carry equal weight, and declining is not a barrier to using the site.
If you decline, analytics and marketing cookies are not set and the scripts that would set them are not loaded. Only the essential cookies listed below are used.
Your choice applies across centrik.co.nz and training.centrik.co.nz, so you are only asked once. It is recorded in a cookie on your device and lasts six months, after which you will be asked again. What this means for enquiry forms
Our enquiry forms are provided by HubSpot and work whether or not you accept cookies. If you decline, your enquiry is still received, but it is not linked to any record of how you browsed the site beforehand.
How this relates to the Privacy Act
Some of the cookies above involve personal information as defined in the Privacy Act 2020, because they can be connected to an identifiable person. Information Privacy Principle 3 requires us to tell you when we collect personal information about you, what it is used for, and who receives it. This policy exists to meet that obligation.
Analytics and marketing information is shared with the providers named above, who process it on our behalf under their own terms and may store it outside New Zealand.
